Imperfect parts come with large discounts
The LCDs I receive are sent out from trusted suppliers as Class A & new. They have no higher risk of future fail, and are still covered by a limited warranty against failure.
When ordering in batches of hundreds to thousands, there are those that are not going to be 100% cosmetically perfect. It may have a stuck pixel on the corner, or a slight blemish you mostly notice only on a 100% light grey startup screen. You may notice a small portion is slightly darker than the rest. I have high standards for my services – so I do not pass these onto customers who pay full price. I pretest every LCD I receive, and those not perfect are given away at extreme discount.
