Not turning on
Out of commission?
Is your Macbook not turning on? Maybe it turns on but doesn’t start up afterwards, or turns off briefly after you turn it on? This is more common than you may think. There are many different problems that can prevent your laptop from turning on, and we repair them all at our store on a daily basis.
What’s the cause?
Apple often quotes $750 as a flat rate to “fix everything.” Apple rarely try to figure out your exact issue. They fit you into a specific repair tier regardless of your issue, and charge you an exorbitant amount of money even if you wind up having a much simpler problem.
This approach you get at the Genius Bar ends in you paying far more than is necessary to fix your problem. We can often fix the problem for less than half their price. Our approach is to figure out your specific, unique problem, and charge you for repairing that only.
The cause of your problem can be any one of the following:
- Bad charging port. – $75-$200
- Bad charger – $70
- Blown power circuit on motherboard – $200-$425
- Malfunctioning peripheral attached to motherboard – $50-$200
- Liquid damage – wide price range, but we fix it all!
If your laptop is completely dead, there is no way for us to tell you precisely what’s wrong without seeing it. Did you know we offer free estimates? We’ll open it up and see what’s wrong for free; with free estimates you have nothing to lose! You won’t be obligated to go ahead with a repair, and we’ll explain what the problem was at no charge.
